  Этот вид пассифлоры относят к полунасекомоядным. Прицветники имеют железистые волоски с липкими капельками на концах. В природе к ним пристает множество мелких насекомых. Затем трупики опадают и служат дополнительной подкормкой на беднейших тропических почвах.

Вот на этом фото из Перу заметны 2 налипших трупика двукрылых:

Изначально растение, вероятно, обзавелось несильным, но весьма неприятный запахом, исходящим от цветов и листьев. Цветы эти хоть и мельче многих прочих видов страстоцвета, все же по-своему красивы, а запах такой им нужен, вероятно, для привлечения мух-опылителей. С таким запахом, слишком уж пышные цветы становятся ни к чему, вот и измельчали... А вот потом растение, видимо, эволюционировало так, что привлекаемые ароматом мушки стали служить не только опылителями, но и удобрением.

  Думаю, что это Passiflora foetida - для этого вида как раз характерны перисто-рассеченные прицветники

  Это скорее всего другой вид пассифлоры - Passiflora edulis Sims, хотя и близкий вид.

  Вьющееся растение, образует непроходимые заросли из длинных, тонких, крепких побегов. Поселяется на окраине буша и в прибрежных лесах.
